Travelling exhibition on intangible heritage in Slovenia
Celebrating the European Year of Cultural Heritage the Slovenian Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the Slovene ethnographic museum (currently the "Coordinator for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Republic of Slovenia"), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have set up the exhibition "Intangible heritage in Slovenia in the light of the UNESCO convention".
The exhibition displays 24 boards listing all units of intangible cultural heritage from the Republic of Slovenia that are listed in the national "Register of the Intangible Cultural Heritage". Included in the list are the "Škofja Loka Passion Play" and the "Door-to-door rounds of Kurenti", which also are inscribed to the "UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity".
The 25th board is dedicated to the celebration of the "World Bee Day", which will be celebrated on the 20 May for the first time. It was the Republic of Slovenia that proposed the proclamation of the
