European Union Prize for Literature awards ceremony
The European Union Prize for Literature aims at placing the spotlight on the creativity and diverse wealth of Europe’s contemporary literature in the field of fiction, encourage greater interest in non-national literary works and to promote the circulation of literature works within Europe.
On the special occasion of the European Union Prize for Literature’s 10th anniversary, the winners of the writing contest will be awarded in three different categories: the public jury prize, the professional jury prize and the Members of the European Parliament Prize.
This year’s ceremony will be a special one: on the occasion of the European Year of Cultural Heritage, a special prize will be awarded to the best short fiction in which European heritage plays a major role.
36 European Union Prize for Literature winning authors from 26 different European countries have taken up this great opportunity and submitted captivating European stories with a unique perspective.
